The very first computer I touched with my own hands was the Timex Sinclair 1000. My uncle loaned it to us over a weekend and I took to it like a duck to water. However, I did find the membrane keyboard to be quite difficult to work with, but it certainly ignited my interest in home computing.

In the early eighties, I had a Coleco but a friend had a ZX81. The games are not comparable in quality but it was so cool to break the ZX81 games and change the code, or make little Basic programs. As simple as that was, it definitely ignited my interest in more as just games as well.
